What is Otezla (apremilast) used for?

In the treatment of Behçet's disease, plaque psoriasis, and active psoriatic arthritis. The tablets are used twice a day to lower inflammation. During its action, apremilast inhibits an enzyme within your immune system that stimulates inflammation in your body and affects certain cells. This medicine belongs to the group of PDE4 inhibitors (Phosphodiesterase-4 Inhibitors). These lower inflammation by increasing our bodies' own messenger, cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate).
