How To Use Anusol HC Suppositories?

Follow your doctor's instructions when using this product in the rectum, usually 2 or 3 times daily. Your medical condition and response to treatment determine the dosage and length of treatment.

The suppository should not be handled for too long because it melts. Remove the suppository from its packaging immediately. A few drops of water can be used to moisten the tip.

Your right knee should be bent as you lie on your left side. Make sure the suppository is deep enough in the rectum to stay in place. Push it gently into the rectum, pointed end first, with your finger.

Take a few minutes to lie down. Allow the medication to work for at least one hour before having a bowel movement.

After using the restroom, wash your hands. There is a possibility that this medication will stain fabrics.

The best way to get the most benefit from this medication is to take it regularly as prescribed. Use this product as directed and do not exceed the recommended dose. There is no guarantee that your condition will improve faster, and you may be more likely to experience side effects.

Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor if you have been taking it for a long time. In some cases, stopping the drug suddenly can worsen the condition. There may need to be a gradual reduction in your dose.

Call your doctor or pharmacist if you don't see improvements or if your condition worsens after the prescribed treatment period. This medication can lower your immune system which can increase the risk of skin infections.
