Benicar (Olmesartan) FAQs

How does Benicar work?

Benicar is an angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by improving blood flow by relaxing your blood vessels. That may be used alone or with blood pressure medicine to achieve the desired effects.

How do you use Benicar?

Benicar is taken orally, usually once a day, with or without food. It works best when taken around the same time every day. Do not stop treatment once you feel better. You may not feel different after taking your dose and using it properly.

Your dose is based on your condition and results of previous treatment. If you miss a dose you can take it when you remember. You can skip the missed dose if it’s nearly time to take it again.

Your doctor may monitor your blood pressure during treatment. If your condition does not approve, or if it grows worse, you may need to discontinue treatment.

What are the precautions and warnings of Benicar?

All orders from Sunshine Pharmacy are delivered in the manufacturer's packaging and include a medicine information sheet. We ask that you carefully read this information sheet and call us if you have any questions or do not understand the document.
