What is Biofreeze?

It is used to treat light joint and muscle aches and pains. Minor pain is common with sprains, arthritis and backache. It is recommended when you need pain relief without prescription drugs. It is fast acting and should provide immediate relief of sore muscles.

How does Biofreeze work?

It provides a cooling sensation followed by a warming sensation. This distracts from the painful feelings in the muscle and joints by providing a pleasant feeling on the skin.

How do you use Biofreeze?

When using an over-the-counter product always follow the instructions provided. Talk to your healthcare professional if you have any questions.

It is intended for use on clean dry, undamaged skin. Do not apply the product anywhere else. The maximum dose is 4 applications a day. You may need to look at other options if 4 doses does not manage the pain.

Whether it is a liquid, gel or cream, it needs to be thoroughly rubbed into the skin of the affected areas. Wash your hands after application and let the product dry before allowing anyone else to touch it.

What are the precautions and warnings of Biofreeze?

If the product comes in contact with your mouth, eyes or nose, flush the area with lots of water. Avoid touching and applying the medicine to areas of the skin that have cuts, infections, burns or rashes.

After applying the product do not wrap or bandage the area. This may increase your risk of experiencing side effects. You can protect the area by wearing loose clothing.

Does Biofreeze stain clothes?

It may depend on the fabric but Biofreeze generally will not stain or damage your clothing. You should wear light loathing after application and avoid wearing anything too tight (clothing or bandages)
