Combipatch (Estalis) Information
How does Combipatch work?
It works by replacing the estrogen hormones that would normally be produced in the body. Postmenopausal women produce less natural estrogen and this can impact overall health.
How do you use Combipatch?
Remove the packaging from the patch and apply it to clean dry skin. Ideally, where it would not likely be distubred such as the lower stomach or above the rump. Avoid placing it on breasts, places where clothes may remove it or anywhere with damaged or oily skin.
To attach, firmly press the patch solidly in the desired area. The patch should stay on after 10 or seconds of pressure. It is usually worn for a week as per your doctor or or pharmacist's instructions. Avoid using the same patch for consecutive weeks.
When applying a new patch, apply it to a different area than the previous week. You can rotate between 2 comfortable areas each week.
To discard the patch, you can fold it in on its own sticky side and discard it in the garbage. Keep the old patch away from reach from children and animals. Do not flush in the toilet.
