Rybelsus Information

How does Rybelsus work?

Rybelsus works by increasing the amount of insulin produced in the pancreas. This insulin removes sugar from our blood cells. This process helps lower your body's blood sugar levels.

How do you use Rybelsus?

Rybelsus is taken orally with a sip or small amount of water (less than 120ml). You should not use any other liquids instead of water. Swallow the tablets whole without crushing, Chewing or splitting the tablets. Advise your doctor if you have trouble swallowing the entire tablet.

After you take your dose, avoid eating or drinking anything for at least 30 minutes after taking our dose. You should wait no longer than 60 minutes before eating as you need food to better absorb the medicine.

Your dose is based on the severity of your condition and response to previous treatment. Your doctor may change your dose depending on how well the treatment goes. Remember to take this properly every day to be sure that your doctor is providing accurate treatment.

Follow your doctor's instructions and do not alter your dose of Rybelsus. Taking extra doses will not improve your condition and may increase your risk of side effects. If you miss a dose, you can simply take it when you remember.
You should skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for your next dose. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you do not see an improvement or if your condition grows worse. Your doctor advises you if your blood sugar levels get too low.
