What is Synjardy used for?

Empagliflozin and metformin are the main ingredients of this medication. Using Synjardy along with a diet and exercise program helps adults with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar levels. A healthy blood sugar level protects kidneys, prevents blindness, nerve problems, and prevents loss of limbs and sexual dysfunction. This Is not recommended to treat type 1 diabetes. It is also possible to reduce the risk of heart attacks or strokes with proper control of diabetes. As you naturally produce insulin, this medication restores the body's ability to respond appropriately to it. In addition, it increases the amount of sugar that your kidneys remove from your body. It also reduces the amount of sugar that your liver produces, as well as the amount of sugar that your stomach and intestines absorb. Tell your doctor if you have a history of kidney problems. It may affect how the drug works or it may affect how the drug works. This may be more prominent for individuals 65 years or older.
