What is Toviaz (Fesoterodine)?

Toviaz (Fesoterodine) Information

How does Toviaz work?

Toviaz works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder that control urination. This prevents involuntary urine leakage and reduces the need to frequently urinate.

How do you use Toviaz?

Toviaz is taken once by mouth daily, depending on your doctor’s instruction. It works equally well with or without food.

The tablets are intended to be swallowed whole. Crushing, splitting ro chewing the extended release tablets results in the entire dose being released at once. This can cause an increased risk of side effects.

For the ideal result, always follow the instructions provided by your doctor. Do not stop taking it when you feel better and do not take extra doses expecting quicker treatment.

Taking extra medication will not hasten treatment and may increase your risk of experiencing side effects. Stopping treatment early will allow your symptoms to return.
